Weekly Report

We are on the home stretch of wrapping up the Living A Life Of Purpose at the two churches, and I have to admit, I was very pumped up at this one. While some of the illustrations I used are not new, they are powerful, and I truly believed this week’s services would have a significant impact on many who attended either church.

Bikers Church

  • The pastors who read this blog will appreciate this thought: There is something incredibly special when things move along like a well-oiled machine. That’s how things are at Bikers’ Church these days. Everything in the service seems to flow exactly like it should. These are great seasons in the life of a church and I hope people are enjoying it as much as I am.
  • You can tell Spring has sprung. While we haven’t yet seen bikes showing up on Thursday night, people are certainly getting energized with the change in the weather. I have a feeling that we’ll see a few this week if the weather holds up.

City Church

  • I wasn’t sure what to expect with March Break upon us. I wondered if our numbers would be down significantly. However, we weren’t bad. Yes, we were down a few, but overall, another good week for attendance.
  • I think we have settled in at what our “core” group of people will be. After a huge jump in the initial attendance, we are now moving slowly. That’s not a bad thing by any stretch. It allows the new people to get to know some of the core people who have been around for a few years. Sometimes, when the growth is too extreme, it falls apart just as quickly. This initial group is a good one. We have a wonderful mix of young and old, new believers and mature followers of Christ.

Anyway, it’s a short update … a good week at both churches.
