Twitter

So … some people suggest that Twitter is going to soon replace Blogging … Hmmmm … does that mean I need to get on another communication method? I know, I know, Twitter has been around for some time now — it certainly isn’t new — but it’s becoming bigger and bigger each day.

I love communicating, but when is it enough?

So, what do you guys think? Do you follow people’s twittering?

I don’t think micro-blogging will replace blogging. The question becomes where will micro-blogging fit in society’s fabric, or what is micro-blogging the precursor to?

I agree with Tim. I think it will be tough to keep most people down to 140 characters…I couldn’t do it.

That’s what I think … but there’s been a number of bloggers lately who have suggested that they may start moving over to doing more twitter and less blogging.
Interesting stuff — I’ve never twittered, so I can’t tell if I’d enjoy it.

@bikerbob — I think you would find it interesting, when I’m mobile, I use Jott to Twitter. It transcribes my voice to text so I don’t have to fumble with a key pad except to call a number. You can find some posts on my site about it. I assume you travel with your biker church, if so Twittering would be a great way to keep those that couldn’t make the trip up to date with what’s going on by using your cell phone, even while driving (not sure on the wind noise)
That’s assuming you have some biker buddies willing to sit around and admit they are going to read your tweets! (how biker sounding is that!)
    God Bless.

Thanks Tim, I had read the comments on your blog about it … I’m looking for the upgrade to iPhone 2.0 coming soon, because there will be some cool apps on it for blogging and twittering right from my phone.
